Today we're delighted to launch more new features, starting with a model capable of two-minute generations. This makes it much easier to create tracks with long-term coherence and structure.
Our two-minute model will launch alongside our existing model. For now, two-minute generation is an experimental feature available at a discounted credit-rate to pro-subscribers only, but we will be rolling it out more broadly over the coming weeks.
We've also added a bunch of new controls to our 'advanced features' dropdown:
- First, you can now set the random seed to make clips reproducible (in manual mode). Using the same seed while varying the prompt or lyrics can sometimes help maintain certain features of a clip, without prompting for these features explicitly.
- Next, you can set prompt or lyrics strength to control how much these inputs influence the output. Higher prompt-strength improves adherence, but may lead to less natural sounding music. Lower lyrics-strength can lead to more natural vocals, but sometimes lyrics can be ignored.
- In addition, clip start-time can be used to control where you want the generated clip to start in the context of a full song. For example, 0% corresponds to the beginning, 50% to the middle, and 90% to a clip from the end of the song. This is especially useful in combination with the extension feature, but it also means you can always start a track from an intro, for example.
- Finally, we've added a generation-quality slider, which lets you trade quality for speed-of-generation, and vice versa. This can let you explore at a faster rate without sacrificing too much quality, so we hope you try it out.
We're excited to see how you use these new features to make great music, and we can’t wait to show you more soon.
Lastly, we have some quality-of-life and social updates:
- It's now possible to follow users, so you can keep track of new songs from your favorite creators. The new
Followingfeed is available in the left panel, alongsideMy CreationsandLiked Songs.
- Based on user feedback, we're making it easier to keep track of credit usage. Previously, we displayed how many credits you had used up. Instead, you'll now see how many credits you have remaining to use. You can also hover over the number to see a detailed breakdown as well as a countdown to your next refresh.
- We've also added more fine-grained messaging for generation errors. This means you should now get a better understanding of what is triggering a moderation error.
